The SAE International standard, ARP5757, Guidelines for Engine Component Tests provides a benchmark for aircraft engine component airworthiness, including hydraulics. Component suppliers may use this ARP (Aerospace Recommended Practice) to develop substantiation plans for new components. Aircraft engine manufacturers may use it to integrate components with overall engine certification plans. This one document lists a single set of guidelines acceptable to all involved, from manufacturers to certification approval authorities.
